Guess What?!!!

I bought a digital camera! I know you (especially Maren) are shocked that I finally broke down and did it. I have been talking about it for some time, but with the a little push from Kaira and her amazon.com know how, the impossible has been done. Ta..Da!!!
So, I hate to promise anything spectacular, but I might be updating our blog sometime soon. Due soulie (souly?) to the fact that I will have actual pictures to show you!!!

It's been awhile

Well, this is for me I suppose. I'm getting older. (I know that's hard to believe.) But, I am. So I've been thinking about making some changes in my life. #1) This year I'm going to tell people what is in my heart more. So, I hope you all can handle it. I'm going to cultivate my friends and family and let them know I care about them. Not just think it, but tell you all. #2) Get to the Temple 2x's a month. I know to some of you that seems like nothing, but for me, it is a real challenge.
#3) Listen, and stop talking. I want my children to know I care about what they have to say, so.... I'm going to make a real effort to LISTEN.
#4) I'm going to love Ty like I used to. Let go of all the craziness and really try to remember why it is that I married that guy. Make time to listen to him and show an interest in him. (Now I know some of you newly married couples think that this is a stupid thing to say, but you just wait until you have kids, a job, church callings, and a dirty house; then you will see that it is easy to get off track.)

TYPICAL

This is a typical, getting ready for school kindof morning with my crazy daughter. (Please ignore the Lara "morning do" I didn't have time to get myself ready.) Isn't this hilarious? Kylie usually puts on a shy and quiet front for most people, but at home she is a wild nut! We are usually entertained by her very crazy and witty stunts. Enjoy!

Honorable Mention

So this is our brag blog! Kylie spent tons of time creating a 3D art project for the Reflections contest. She and her best friend JoAnna received "Honorable Mention", we were all very excited! She said the best part was creating it and also getting the prizes. (There's honesty for ya.)

I'm on a roll!

Heidi and I went to IKEA yesterday and found some great stuff! We didn't even buy anything. I just love window shopping, and planning, and organizing things.! We had so much fun. Today I am making home-made chicken noodle soup and sweet corn bread.

I've finally cleaned and organized my scrap-book supplies and I'm ready to scrap again. I cut up the rest of my quilt I'm working on and it's just begging me to sew it together! I feeling pretty good about myself.

The only undone project I have, is to put pictures in the frames that I've had hanging in the family room for a year! I don't know... that might be taking it too far.

Double Digits!!!

Kylie turns 10 on November 4th. I can't believe she's that old. We all celebrated with Baskin Robbin's icecream cake. The hit of the evening was watching Ty SAW through the cake. (fyi: when they tell you to take the cake out of the freezer 20 min. before serving---it's really more like 1 hour and 20 minutes!) We surprised Kylie with a digital camera. Gramma was right on board with a Scrap booking set, and Heidi and Terrah wowed her with a bead-weaving kit. Ahhh, projects! Kylie lives for projects. Tuesday, the real birthday,day; we will be tieing it all up with a round of family ice-skating. Here's hoping we all live through it!
